History

Omnitécnica has been a Telecom “pioneer” since the foundation in 1969:

- With implementation of digital technology, has supplied several digital links of High, Medium and Low capacity for Regional and Intercity Networks, as well PDH Line Terminal Fibre Optic and Mux Equipment to interconnect the Public switches.

- When the Telecom sector started to demand new services, Omnitécnica implemented several Trunking (MPTR), Paging, VSAT and VoIP Networks in Portugal and PALOP’s (Portuguese African Spoken Countries).

- In NAVAIDS area has supplied equipments and services, namely, Radars, Switching, Ground/Air/Ground equipments, Direction Finders, NDB and ILS.
- Since the SDH technology started being part of High Bandwidth demand, Omnitécnica implemented Pilot SDH network for Telecom Operators, being today a supplier of Long Distance SDH/DWDM networks for Utilities.
